On June 4, 2013 members of the Knoxville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force responded to a computer repair business for a report of child pornography that was located on a customers computer that had been brought in for repair.
Investigators responded to the scene and confiscated a desktop computer.
Based on information that was gathered at the scene, members of the KPD ICAC Task Force were able to apply for and receive a search warrant for the computer. After a Forensic Examination was completed, over 7,000 images depicting child pornography were observed on the computer.
This case was concluded in Knox County Criminal Court on April 11, 2015.
