Wesley Aaron Arp Sentenced to 2 Years to be served on Supervised Probation for Attempting to Engage In Sexual Acts with Teenager

On May 10, 2016, at approximately 5:33 p.m., Wesley Aaron Arp was taken into custody for Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Certain Sexual Conduct (Class E Felony) as a result of an investigation by the Knoxville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). Arp, who had agreed to engage in sexual acts with a 14-year-old female, was taken into custody by ICAC with the assistance of the KPD Special Crimes Unit as well as the KPD Violence Reduction Team after Arp drove to meet the 14-year-old female.
On June 23, 2017, the Knox County District Attorney General’s Office Child Abuse Unit successfully obtained a guilty plea from Arp in Knox County Division II Court.
Today, the Honorable Judge Bob McGhee sentenced Arp to a two-year sentence to be served on supervised probation. Arp will be required to register as a sex offender.
