Investigators Arrest Man for Second Time In a Week for Soliciting Children to Engage in Sexual Conduct After Two Additional Victims Come Forward

On June 15, 2016, Dustin Lee Dotson was arrested for Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Certain Sexual Conduct (Class C Felony) by the Knoxville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). Dotson had requested a 13-year-old female send him nude photographs of herself and made several other lewd and sexual references with the teen.

Since Dotson’s arrest on June 15, 2016, ICAC Investigators received information of two more victims, an 11-year-old female and a 12-year-old female. The investigation revealed that Dotson had requested these females send him nude photographs of themselves.

On June 21, 2016, a Knox County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Dotson with two (2) additional counts of Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Certain Sexual Conduct (Class C Felonies). The incidents with the 11 and 12 year-old children occurred prior to his first arrest.

Dotson was taken into custody this afternoon without incident by investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Dotson is being held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond as well as a bond condition of no contact with the victims or any other minors. The investigation is continuing.
