Knoxville Resident Arrested on Multiple Sexual Exploitation of Minor Charges

In response to a CyberTip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Knoxville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) along with KPD’s Special Operations Squad executed a state search warrant at a residence in south Knoxville on January 26, 2016. A preliminary forensic exam of one of the devices seized from the residence revealed over seven-hundred (700) images of child pornography/child erotica and three (3) videos of child pornography/child erotica. On March 23, 2016, a Knox County Grand Jury returned a true bill in this case charging Emil J. Ford with one (1) count of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (Class C Felony) and seven (7) counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (Class B Felonies). Today, March 24, 2016, Mr. Ford was taken into custody without incident by ICAC investigators with the assistance of east district patrol officers. Ford is currently being held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $250,000 bond.
